19-04-2010 Draw and a loss for Den Bosch, 4 weeks left in the season It's not an easy task watching from the sideline. My left hand is still in a cast and will be for the next week at least. The first of the double headers was on Friday night, where 'we' played Kampong. They played far better hockey and were deservedly 2-0 in the lead with just five minutes to go. In a bizarre twist which no one could have predicted we clawed our way back to 2-2 with a minute remaining after a penalty stroke was awarded in our favour. With just a minute to go Kampong scored for a 3-2 lead and we replied for 3-3. Unbelievable, and possibly the craziest 5 minutes of hockey I have ever witnessed.
Sunday was a slightly different affair. We started the stronger team this time, but Amsterdam's keeper somehow kept us out and the scoreline remained 0-0 for 15 minutes. Things fell apart after they won and scored three penalty corners in quick succession. The second half saw a small come back when Mark Gleghorne scored a penalty corner of our own. The game ended 3-1 in Amsterdam's favour.
Next weekend we play the league leaders HGC at home.
Here's how the double headers affected the table. No big movements North for us unfortunately.
